Based in Spencer Stuart’s Sao Paulo office, Adriano Maluf Savelli is a member of the firm’s Leadership Advisory Services. He is passionate about developing leaders and organizations. Adriano has nearly 20 years of experience working with top management on strategy, corporate culture, business transformation, human resources and organizational development, particularly with consumer goods, retail, and oil and gas companies.

HR and organizational development leader

  • Before joining Spencer Stuart, Adriano worked with startup companies at different stages as an independent consultant focused on strategy, business development and HR, based in São Paulo.
  • Prior to this, Adriano was seconded by BP to Reliance Industries to manage the HR and cultural transformation of India´s largest private enterprise, developing and executing a transformation roadmap for revamped HR processes accompanied by a new corporate culture, while also establishing the governance of the board, its committees, the Reliance executive team and the HR leadership team.
  • Earlier, Adriano was an executive assistant to the group HR director for BP, based in London. In this role, he led the standardization of the energy conglomerate’s HR policies aligned to BP´s post-Gulf of Mexico strategy, and supported the group HR director in dispensing his duties with BP´s board, executive team and HR leadership team.
  • Before that, he was director of organizational effectiveness and HR projects for Philips Consumer Lifestyle, based in Amsterdam. Adriano began his career as a business analyst at A.T. Kearney in São Paulo.

Adriano earned his bachelor’s degree in economics cum laude from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA with honors from IE Business School in Spain. Adriano is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and German and conversant in Italian, French and Dutch.
