Most recently, Ernest worked at Thomson Reuters based in New York. His responsibilities included partnering with and investing in emerging technology startups in fintech, blockchain and next-gen alternative data.

Earlier in his career, Ernest served as a member of Spencer Stuart's Financial Services Practice in London, recruiting CEOs and other senior executives for clients ranging from startups to major multinationals in Europe and the Middle East.

He started his career in investment banking and private equity in London.
Ernest received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his MSc Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden. He has lived and worked in the UK, US, Sweden and China, and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
