Win Ruml is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s New York office and a member of the Financial Officer Practice in North America. He focuses on chief financial officer and other senior-level finance recruiting assignments for a broad range of financial services, media, professional services, industrial services and technology companies.
Experienced search consultant for CFOs and senior finance roles
- At Spencer Stuart, Win has worked on more than 250 CFO and financial executive searches across sectors for both public and sponsor-backed companies, including cross-border and international assignments. Win has also worked with single family offices, helping to recruit for key senior leadership roles, including COO, CFO and president.
- He has helped recruit CFOs for many financial services firms, including investment banks, regional banks and community banks, as well as alternative asset managers, consumer and commercial finance firms, and insurance companies. Outside of financial services, he has also led CFO and other finance searches for public and private real estate firms, professional services firms (including Spencer Stuart), information, data and other business services companies. He has also worked across other industry groups, including distribution, traditional and digital media, and industrial manufacturing.
- Win joined Spencer Stuart in 2012 after previously working in the corporate development group at D. E. Shaw, an investment management firm, where he focused on firm-wide strategy and M&A opportunities. Prior to that, he worked in the investment management division at Goldman Sachs and for a development economist at the United Nations Development Program.
Win studied post-colonial history and earned his AB from Harvard.
