With more than a decade of leadership consulting experience within the financial services sector, Nicole Northwood possesses a deep knowledge of the leadership needs of financial services firms and the talent landscape across Canada and the United States. Nicole is a member of the Spencer Stuart’s Financial Services Practice and she leads the firm’s consumer financial services business in Canada. Her client work focuses on recruiting CEOs and senior leaders supporting large financial institutions as well as functional leaders within human resources, risk, AML and compliance.
Strategic search professional with deep expertise across the financial services landscape
- In addition to 10 years of experience in retained search, Nicole brings to her client work more than five years of in-house experience with Canada’s largest financial institution, Royal Bank of Canada, where she led executive recruitment, talent management and HR strategy.
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Nicole was a consultant for an international executive search firm, leading a range of board, CEO, functional and line-of-business assignments for financial services firms.
- Nicole began her career as a research analyst for Spencer Stuart.
Nicole is a graduate of Queens University, where she earned Bachelor of Arts in political science. She also earned a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) from the University of Toronto.
